Elementa turns two: Elevated living at 65 storeys: Elementa Interior x Mercedes-Benz places by Binghatti
Every so often, a project comes along that redefines what luxury living means. Mercedes-Benz Places by Binghatti is exactly that kind of project and we are thrilled to announce that Elementa Interior has been entrusted with the design of a spectacular three-bedroom residence inside this landmark tower. As one of the first design teams to step into the building, we have a rare opportunity: to set the tone for what interior design at this address should look like. And we intend to do exactly that.
A new icon rises in Downtown Dubai
Mercedes-Benz Places by Binghatti marks a historic first. For the first time in its storied existence, Mercedes-Benz is lending its name to a residential tower, developed in partnership with Binghatti Properties, one of Dubai’s most ambitious developers. The result is a 65-storey architectural statement rising 341 metres in the heart of Downtown Dubai with uninterrupted views towards the Burj Khalifa and the glittering skyline beyond.
The tower’s design is a seamless blend of contemporary and futuristic elements. To us, the tower reads like a beautifully drawn object: curves like fabric caught in the wind, lines with the restraint of a Mercedes-Benz coupé — a building in motion while standing still.
With just 150 residences and keys handed over this December, this is an intimate canvas. The architecture speaks a language of fluidity and precision; our job is to continue that sentence indoors — through walnut, travertine and light.
The residence: A floorplan built for living
The apartment we are designing is, quite simply, one of the most generous three-bedroom floorplans we have ever worked with. This is not an apartment that asks you to compromise it is a residence conceived around how people at this level actually live.
At its heart lies an expansive living area, a space designed for true relaxation, conversation and entertaining. From there, the residence opens onto its most breathtaking feature: a vast balcony overlooking the Dubai skyline, complete with an integrated private pool. Imagine ending your day suspended above the city, water at your fingertips, the Burj Khalifa lighting up on the horizon. Few residences anywhere in the world can offer that.
The culinary spaces reflect the same thinking. A large, high-end show kitchen forms the social centrepiece of the home a place where cooking becomes theatre. Behind it, a fully equipped back-of-house kitchen handles the practical side of entertaining, keeping the main space pristine while dinner for twelve comes together out of sight. It is a layout borrowed from the world’s finest hospitality venues, and it changes the way a home functions.
The residence further comprises three beautifully proportioned bedrooms, four bathrooms each fully cladded in travertine several dedicated storage rooms, a maid’s room and thoughtfully planned back-of-house areas. Every square metre has a purpose. Every space has been considered.
Our design vision: Eccentric, elevated, unmistakable
For this project, our design team is quite literally getting everything out of the closet. The brief we have set ourselves is ambitious: create an interior that is eccentric in the best sense of the word — daring, characterful, unforgettable — while remaining rooted in timeless materiality.
The material palette leads the story. Warm walnut cladding wraps the living spaces in richness and depth, bringing a sense of intimacy to the generous proportions. Against it, large slabs of travertine introduce texture, light and a quiet monumentality — from the bathroom walls to key architectural moments throughout the residence. It is a dialogue between warmth and stone, softness and structure.
And then there are the details that make this residence unlike any other. Throughout the interior, the radiant Mercedes-Benz star returns as a subtle design motif — never loud, never literal, always elegant. A shadow line here, a pattern in the millwork there. Residents will feel the brand’s presence the way you feel it behind the wheel: in the precision, the balance and the quality of every touchpoint.
Custom furniture sits at the core of our approach. The owners of residences like these do not want a standard apartment — and they should not receive standard furniture. Every key piece is being designed and crafted specifically for this home, using opulent, high-end materials selected without compromise. This is couture, not prêt-à-porter.
A hospitality feel, at home
If there is one thread running through our entire vision, it is this: the residence should feel like the world’s finest hotel suite one you never have to check out of. That hospitality feel is where everything comes together: the show kitchen and back-of-house logistics, the travertine bathrooms, the flow between spaces, the layered lighting, the sense that everything has been anticipated before you even reach for it.
Being among the first to design within Mercedes-Benz Places is both a privilege and a responsibility. There is no precedent to follow, no neighbour’s apartment to measure against. We are setting the stone that others will build upon and that means the level of design has to be nothing short of the highest. Our focus, as always, is on creating something that fulfils our clients’ dreams, desires and aspirations a home that reflects who they are and elevates how they live.
